Eden Hazard hints that he would prefer a move to Real Madrid over FC Barcelona this summer
Eden Hazard has hinted that he would prefer a move to Real Madrid over FC Barcelona this summer.
The Chelsea FC playmaker’s future has been a constant source of speculation this summer after the Blues missed out on Champions League qualification for next season and ended up in fifth place in the table.
Hazard, 27, has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and the playmaker has been quoted as saying that he will be considering his future this summer as he ponders his options.
The Belgium attacker currently has two years left to run on his contract with the Blues and Chelsea FC are likely to be keen to keep hold of the playmaker this summer.
FC Barcelona have been credited with an interest in signing Hazard this summer, but it appears that the attacker has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid should he leave Chelsea FC.
Hazard is quoted in the Belgian media as saying when asked about a move to FC Barcelona: “We all know that I have always felt good at Chelsea, so…
“I have been linked with all the big clubs in the past. Next week it will be Bayern. No I’m joking. You all know what my preferred destination is.”
The attacker will now enjoy some time away from football before returning to Cobham to report for pre-season training under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
The playmaker has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup since joining Chelsea FC from Lille back in 2012
