Now as the 2019 general elections approach, Nigeria’s political landscape has started witnessing massive shake-ups. Ahead of the elections, politicians are crossing from one political party to another looking for political parties which suit their interests. President Buhari referred to defection as a seasonal occurrence that happens on election eve.

While all Nigerian major parties have been both the victims (and beneficiaries) of the gale of defections, it appears the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is the worst hit, We called this “Political party transfer” with  soccer tag, But they called it defection.  See the full list of defector below

À l’approche des élections générales de 2019, le paysage politique du Nigeria a commencé à connaître des bouleversements massifs. Avant les élections, les politiciens passent d’un parti politique à l’autre en quête de partis politiques qui correspondent à leurs intérêts. 1. Saraki
