World Cup Defending Champions, France Eliminates England by 2-1 to proceed to Semi Final facing African Morocco: KosereNaija

The defending champions France has qualified for the Semi Final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after beating the 3 Lions of England by 2-1 on Saturday night.

The French men took the lead with TCHOUAMENI’s 17th minute goal.

The English men came back into the game with a penalty equalizer by Harry Kane in the 54th minute of the game but French tricker Olivie Giroud’s header in the 78 minute restored France’s lead.

However; England had the opportunity to come back into the game with a penalty being awarded to England by VAR in the 84th minute but Harry unfortunately skied the penalty there by giving France the lead till the end.

Going into the Semi Finals , France will face the only unbeaten team of the tournament Morocco who knocked out Spain in the round of 16 and Portugal in just concluded quarter finals
