Football: Man U’s Ten Hag’s departure imminent? Now 4th-favorite to be the next SACKED EPL boss

Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag  is now the 4th-favorite to be the next SACKED EPL boss.

After a 1-0 victory against Burnley and a 3-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup last week – Manchester United found some much-needed form that relieved some of the pressure on the playing group and their manager Erik ten Hag.

However, that was short-lived – with the Red Devils going down 1-0 to Palace in the Premier League over the weekend. It was yet another abysmal performance for the famed club – and unsurprisingly – Ten Hag’s job is in serious jeopardy as a result.

That is evidenced in the betting lines, with the Dutch gaffer firming to 12/1 to be the next Premier League manager sacked according to Sky Bet.

Those odds are joint fourth-favourite with the Clarets’ Vincent Kompany – who is yet to win a game this campaign.

The only three managers considered to be in more danger to be let go are Wolves’ Gary O’Neil at 9/1, Everton’s Sean Dyche at 7/1 and Sheffield United’s Paul Heckingbottom, who, at the time of writing, is the shortest in the market at 4/11.

Ten Hag has a golden opportunity to return to the winner’s circle and help his case to stay as Red Devils’ top man over the next three weeks, with winnable games against Galatasaray, Brentford and cellar dwellers Sheffield United on the schedule.

Sky Bet odds for ‘Next Manager to Leave’ market (Premier League):

Paul Heckingbottom 4/11

Sean Dyche 7/1

Gary O’Neil 9/1

Erik ten Hag 12/1

Vincent Kompany 12/1

Andoni Iraola 14/1

Mauricio Pochettino 14/1

Rob Edwards 16/1
