Since  May 30, The Election Petition Tribunal begins the hearing of petitions challenging the victory of Bola Tinubu of All Progressive Congress in the February 25 Presidential elections in Nigeria.

 

 

The k Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar; the Labour Party and its candidate, Peter Obi; and the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) are the petitioners.

 

On the other hand, the first to fourth respondents include the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and the APC.

 

 

According to results declared by INEC, Tinubu, 71, got 8,794,726 votes, 76-year-old Atiku polled 6,984,520 votes and Obi, 61, finished the race with 6,101,533.

This was the first presidential election to deploy the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) — an electronic system for accrediting voters before voting and transmitting results to the INEC server — as well as the INEC Results Viewing Portal (IReV).

Three Video Evidence Were Played by LP; First Video Showed INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, Stating That INEC Staffs Have Been Trained & No Going Back On Real Time Transmission of Results From Polling Units

 

 

Second Video Was of a Channel’s TV Staff, Seun Okinbaloye , Interviewing Mr Festus Okoye (INEC National Commissioner). Mr Okoye Stated that People are Allowed to Protest but Inspection of BVAS Won’t Be Allowed And Not Certain if A Hack of The BVAS Occurred.

 

 

Third Video Was on the Double Nomination of The APC VP ,Kashim Shettima.

 

 

After The Videos, Cross Examination of Witness Took Place. The Respondents Basically Asked Him If All Who Featured in the Videos Are Still Alive, To Which The Witness Affirmed That They Are.
