President  Tinubu finally presents academic records from Chicago State University, others documents.

President Bola Tinubu Presents Educational and Immigration Records in Defence Against Petition During his defence in the petition filed by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), President Bola Tinubu has submitted copies of his educational records from Chicago State University. The documents were presented by his lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN).

Accompanying the educational records is a 2007 letter from the United States Embassy in Nigeria, which clears Tinubu of any criminal liability in the United States.

Additionally, the letter of request from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to the US Embassy has been tendered as evidence.   The academic records from Chicago State University consist of 12 certified documents, dated June 28, 2023, and were validated by Jamar C. Orr, the Associate General Counsel at the Office of the Legal Affairs of the university.

Furthermore, the defence team has submitted six sets of documents related to immigration and visa records, documenting Tinubu’s trips to the United States between 2011 and 2021. These additional documents are aimed at supporting Tinubu’s position and providing a comprehensive overview of his activities and engagements during the specified period.

By presenting these documents, Tinubu aims to refute any claims made against his educational qualifications and address any allegations of criminal liability in the United States. The inclusion of immigration and visa records further strengthens his case by providing a factual account of his visits to the United States over the past decade.

The submission of these documents marks an important step in Tinubu’s defence, as he seeks to establish the credibility of his educational background and refute any allegations that may have been raised during the petition. The court will carefully consider these documents and their relevance to the case at hand.
